Default Help wanted with 19th century painting

Hello,
I am new on this forum and I liked to know if somebody could give me some more information about this old painting that I recently bought.
It had been sold as "around 1850". Any idea about the painter ? The signature is impossible to read for me. On the backside there is a stamp, probably from the shop where the painter bought his canvas in Paris ? Can somebody recognize this stamp or the shop ? On the frame there is also written something in pencil about a former auction.
The painting needs to be restored. Is it worth restoring or not ?
Thanks in advance for all help !

The second line of the signature might be something like... Franklin Kent?

Hello John,
Thanks for your reply. Do you know some similar paintings by Franklin Kent?
I thought first that it could be ... ten Kate ?
Kind regards,
Raf.

No, I checked my files yesterday and I don't know of any artists with a similar name. Findartinfo.com has a record of a Florence Kent and an F.M. Kent, but those don't seem too promising.

As for "ten Kate", that's possible. There are a few artists named ten kate, although that doesn't really look like an "a" to me in the signature.

Thanks already for the search. If it can be of any importance : the size of the painting is 49 x 66cm (19.3 x 26 inches).

If it can be useful : the painting measures 49 by 66 cm or 19 by 26 inches.
