Default Who painted this?

Hi

Today I stumbled upon this fantastic very ”classic new york cafe” painting (in the background). Does anybody know who painted it and what its title might be?

I really hope someone can recognize the picture and help me:-)

Thank you…

You're right about it being in New York. "[Edward] Hopper explained that Nighthawks was inspired by "a restaurant on New York’s Greenwich Avenue where two streets meet." The diner has since been destroyed, but the image, with its carefully constructed composition and lack of narrative, has a timeless quality that transcends any particular location."
