There is a J H Lewis with some auctionrecords on "still life with fruits" - However it is difficult to pin down the correct Lewis without any images.
There are numerous J H Lewis in the group of listed british watercolor artists active around turn of century 1900....Some of them notable, others more unimportant. Sincerely, Abstract |

Does anyone have a close up of the signature on these paintings? I have a JH Lewis landscape too. The possible connection with Worcester Porcelain is interesting. My mother's uncle was one of their most well known artist (Ernest Phillips) and my painting may have come to us through him. Thanks.
I can be reached at green_david@mac.com |

We have a J H Lewis Painting a picture of a what looks like a Valley with a Stag standing on a ledge and sheep in a the background. It is not an oil painting but more of a Water colour painting.
Could you please assist us if you know of this painting. It does not have a name anywhere, just the J H Lewis signature. Many thanks Graham Gale abull@mazak.co.uk |

HI
I don't really know much about him or his output; I've seen the odd painting for sale, they usually bring around $400 or $500. The one we have is a landscape, in Scotland according to my mother. It's about 24" w by about 18" h. |
