I found a waterstained print of a painting of a redhead in an old abandoned building about ten years ago. My family and I have searched endlessly, and cannot come up with the artist. We even saw a guy restoring the painting on an episode of American Greed, and attempted to contact him. No luck! Anyway, the print depicts the profile of a pale and topless redheaded lady, with what looks like dark blue velvet covering her lower torso. We see her left side, and her red hair hangs down partially covering her face. I have always supposed that she is weeping, but my family assumed she was washing her hair. I am a redhead and I love, love this print, especially since I found it in such mysterious circumstances. If anyone can give me any information or guesses as to who the artist is, I would be tremendously grateful. The style looks like John Waterhouse.

You don't mean J.W.Waterhouse's "A Mermaid" do you?
