Default Help Identifying Artist Please

Hi everyone,

I am new to this and am desperately trying to track down the artist who painted the attached prints. The woman I love looks exactly like the subject of one of them (woman in yellow dress sitting on the stone wall) and I want to find the picture and give it to her as a gift.

Thank you !

Assuming they're all by the same artist, try Vladimir Volegov. He painted at least one of them.

This one looks like the same model in the same dress.

You guys are amazing ! I've been looking for months and you zeroed right in on him ! ! !

Yes, yes, Mr. Volegov IS the artist.

Now for more advice: I've seen where his paintings go for $3,000 and up, which I cannot afford. Nor can I find a print of the one I want. I have found a website, however, that advertises painted "reproductions" of the original.

This seems wrong to me, because I doubt that the artist gets anything for this copy of HIS work.

Is this an acceptable practice?

If it is, do these places do a decent job?

If it is not, is there a more "honest" way to find a much lower priced print where the artist recieves what is due ?

Again, thank you so very much Mr. Maylon and "thatcomedian".

I don't know what reproduction site you're referring to, but IMO you're right to be concerned about the quality and the artist's moral rights. I would suggest eBay. You can "save" a particular search there and have them send you an email whenever a matching item comes up. I do this with a lot of artists I follow.
