Default Oil painting of wolf

This painting has been in the family since about 1930. It has an illegible signature. Please help me identify it.

This will be tough. You can't decode not even some letters? I would search for a good dealer in your region and would show him the original. Maybe it's a painting of a regional painter!?

There are a number of versions of this. Some facing right...some left. some have the buildings ..some don't. I believe they are all copies by unknown artists after the original by Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski.
