Default R Woodrum

I've acquired a nice painting signed R Woodrum. It is of an Native Indian influenced Paint Horse with feathers in its mane. The only R Woodrum I've found on the Internet is an artist whose work is Religious based and or African American. This painting does not seem to fit into his genre.
If anyone knows of another R Woodrum who does this sort of painting, I would appreciate some information. Perhaps there is another type of web search I've not thought of that may lead me in the right direction? Thanks.

Hi, I'm the R. Woodrum in question. I'm also the one who did the religious and African American paintings. I was working for a company called Cupps of Chicago at the time, and as much as I grimace to admit it, I painted what the market was demanding at the time (artists gotta' make a living y'know.) Cupps has since gone out of business.

The horse paintings you mention were particular favorites of mine. They were part of a set of four images (2-8"x10", 1- 12"x16" and 1- 20"x24") that gave me a chance to employ a bit of airbrush work.

My current web site is www.robwoodrum.com, though I don't have any more images that are in the style of the painting you own.

Hope that helps.

Rob

Default I also have one of the horses

Is it valuable? My children think that the horse looks like it has blood streaming from it's head, but I know it's the mane as the tail is the same color. I'm going to check out your website as well. Very nice to meet you.

Smile Black Art of 3 pictures of 3 children in a kitchen

Dear Rob,

I love your work! My friend has a collection of three little black kids in a kitchen. A little girl on a step ladder, a little boy that's on the floor with cake mix bowl on his head, and finally third little boy on a stool reaching for something in a cabinet. I want all three! Where can I buy them...I would really like to have some of your work..

Please get back to me as soon as possible....Thanks!
