Can you please help me identify this antique painting brought home from WWII

I believe my dad brought this back to my grandma from either France or Germany in 1944 when he came home from the war. The tag on the back says Orchid and White. I cannot make out the artist name. Any help greatly appreciated. Email me for pics as I cannot figure out how to upload them here. Painting is oil on canvas. Shows white orchids with sprigs of purple fuzzy long flowers in them. Is in light bluish vase on tabletop sitting on purple rumpled cloth and next to it is a darker blue jar. There are flowers loose on the table as well.
