I Purchased A Painting With No Signature But On The Back In Large Letters Is Written "1948 Canessa" I Was Told That Artists Will Do This When A Painting Is Not Completed. I Was Told By The Seller That The Artist Lived In The Chicago Area, In A Hotel And Took His Own Life. Not Sure What Is True. This Painting Is Unique. It Shows Many Faces And Some Animals When Viewed On Any Of The Four Sides You Hang It. I Studied This Painting For Many Hours And It Continues To Amaze Me How Many New Faces I Find And How It Was Painted Using Every Subject As Part Of Another Subject When Turned On Either Side Or Upside Down. I Will Post A Picture Or Pictures Of This Artwork Later If Needed But This Painting Needs To Be Studied In Person . Any Information On The Artist Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks For Reading.
