Kathy Whitmire

I purchase a oil painting on canvas with the artists name of "Kathy Whitmire". I'm aware that this name was the mayor of Houston. I'm not sure if this is the same artist. The frame on the back says Elizabeth Williams purchased from the artist Kathy Whitmire of Houston in 1977. I’m just trying to find any Kathy Whitmire from 1977 that did paintings in Houston. I did find a Kathy Whitmire book called Bunny hugs that deals with paintings but not much more is shown on the internet. Thank you for any help you can give me.

That is a lovely painting. However, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the signature is not that of the former Mayors'. I am sorry if you had great hopes that it was hers.

Kathy lived in my town in NC for a number of years.I have a lot of her
art ,especially her "Bunnys"..She did gorgeous scenes on panels
of some of my doors in my 1874 home.The signature you have posted
is the Kathy's that I knew ,she was a good friend!She moved to
Texas and has been there a number of years the last
I heard.
