Russia Maybe? Need help to identify

I recently was left this painting along with other works. Does anyone recognize this artist? It looks like the medium is acrylic. The framed measurements are 68 cm x 58 cm (26.75" x 22 7/8"). The signature (lower right) is either Kovac or Koval with a v over the last letter. Very colorful country scene depicting rural life, maybe somewhere in Russia?

I am a novice here (one art history class in college)......

Hopefully someone can assist.
