The only reference I can locate to this painting is on the album cover of English Songs by John Ireland.

Hi Fueller;
Perhaps this site may be able to help with dating the frame. There is a forum Framer to Framer listed on the left. http://www.pictureframingmagazine.co...oltz_0709.html |

Interesting thought, thanks Eirene.
BTW, for the regulars who may be interested, I have been out of town (Philadelphia) for a few days and won't be back home until next week. Therefore I won't be participating as much as usual and it may take longer to get posts/threads approved. ...And when I do get a chance to catch up, the posts may all appear at once in a mini-flood. Sorry about that. :-) |

I'm going to say "personal reasons" and leave it at that, sorry. But I did manage to get in a visit to the museum of art and also PAFA, and both were fantastic.

The original watercolour is of Froghole Farm, Crockham Hill in Kent - it was one of his favourite subjects. http://www.artvalue.com/auctionresul...nt-1746259.htm
