Hello!

I have an oil painting that was given to me by a friend who inherited it from an elderly uncle. I took it because I love the painting but I've always been curious about the artist.

It is signed simply as "Sylvain" with no year or any other info. I have been on google for hours and found nothing.

Her uncle was from the Montreal area but he traveled all over the world so no one has any idea where it originated.

I took a photo of the painting and a closer one of the signature.

Much appreciate any ideas/help!
