I photographed this painting (in 2 fragment) at the MoMA museum in march 2010. I can't remember who painted it (thought it was Kandinsky during a possible "cubisme" period...) and need help as it is frustrating me (and people who tryed to help me)!
http://www.zoneski.com/videos/watch/...9--aout-2006-- Obviously the grass is at the bottom right of the painting and the house is adjacent in diagonal (top left). We searched the Moma Virtual gallery but couldn't find it. It seems it's neither a Kandinsky, Leger, Malevich or Delaunays. The expressionist colors with texture and the cubism composition together confuses me. Someone told me I should look for more obscure russian painter from the same era as the painters names before (1900-1910's). |

Can you fix the link or be more specific? All I see is a skiing video.

Thank you! It is Landscape and the MoMA replied to me, explaining that the painting is not refered in their virtual gallery because it is part of the Provenance research program.
I didn't know we could search an image on the web (tineye), thank you! |

Apparently Google has recently rolled out a similar type of "image" search, but I haven't played with it yet.

I didn't find the Google image search very helpful John. It seems to just match up the colour scheme on most images you upload. Perhaps it will improve. |
