Need information about an artist

I have a beautiful, very large, watercolor of red roses by Barbara Taliaferro dated 1889. My mother bought it from an estate sale somewhere in Arkansas years ago. Does anyone know anything about this artist?

Well if this tombstone is for the same person, then she lived from 1877 to 1936.
