Small painting by Lippes. Need info on artist.

I have a small painting done on a board by an artist who signed his name as Lippes. I can not find anything online except another example of his work. The painting is of a glass vase with flowers on a yellow/gold background.

I purchased a Lippes today in Florida and am wondering about the artist as well. It is a small horizontal floral still life in mostly yellow and blue, and on the back of the frame is stamped "Paintings by Lippes" Riverdale, NY. Can't find anything online... can anyone help?
