I work at a thrift store in Dayton, Ohio and we got a painting donated that I was wondering if it is worth anything. I think the artist might be ex Air Force Art Director John Gromosiak. I could only find painting of ships so I was not sure if this one is his. I was wondering if it was worth anything. He lived in IN and attended the Dayton Art Institute so I though it coud be him. I attached 2 pictures below hopefully they work. Any help would be great thanks! I am not a fan of clowns and it has been in my office for a month.

Google shows a sale result from Artfact. If you register you can probably find out the selling price. He was apparently a real artist, so I can imagine his military paintings selling for something decent. I wouldn't hold out hope for a clown painting, but who knows.

This the artfact one John referenced.
Sometimes if you go directly to the auctions website, it will show the results but this one doesn't but it does show the estimate. It was not very high considering there were five paintings in the lot. http://catalogs.alexcooper.com/asp/f...fno=+++2 7665 |
