I forgot to say that it appears to be on a soft black fabric and parts of the painting are possibly stenciled. Thanks

Looks like a painting on velvet. There are a few collectors who are reviving interest in this sort of thing, but personally I don't know anything about it. Any signature or identifying marks would be helpful.

I believe that most black velvet paintings are mass produced. They also used to have paint by numbers you could purchase at craft stores.
I did find one landscape with the exact same frame as yours, no info though. You could perhaps contact the owner of the photo.

Default someone sux

Did you see this guy´s name on flickr? Should any decent person, American or whereever from leave that uncommented? I believe people here are also politically intelligent. on the other hand: Someone like Mrs. Palin would probably like this kind of artwork.

Actually yes I did notice it. The name hardly seems to be very respectful to the president, but I'm not an American so I'll refrain from expressing any political opinions.

Any politically intelligent voter would not have supported him. You are correct, I have no respect for him because he is destroying our country. This is an art forum so I don't know why you are sticking your ignorant comments here. Sarah Palin would have been a much better president, no matter what art hangs in her home.
