need to find out the author

I would like to find out the artist name of an oil painting of boats in a harbor.
On the back of painting is title Fishing village with date July 1971.
The painting is signed in red color, small letter c in the circle,than capital letter D than A than maybe L or E, than is very hard to read, ending with DR? Size of the painting is 20x24.

Have you tried doing a Google search of the description. Somehow it can lead you to a source that can give info about the details you are looking for.

Hi

Could you provide an image or could you let us know how many letters are in the painters name, even if you can not read them.

For example you state a c in a circle followed by DA then maybe L or E then hard to read then possibly DR. The bits that are hard to read, are you able to make anything out even if you dont know what it is?
