I have a painting by a “Russian” painter so i am told but I know nothing about it.
On the back of the frame it says in English : E H KHOLODILINA There is script in red in Russian, I assume, that I cannot decipher. The date 1953. Any comments ? Many thanks. |

Good work John.
I found some extra information. Her full name is Elena Nicolaivna Kholodilina. Sometimes Nicolaivna is written Nicolaevna. Born on 31.10.1932. I guess she is still alive and living in Russia. There is a Elena Nicolaevna Kholodilina living in Volgograd and on internet you can found her address and telephone number. Would be great if you can get in contact with this lady. |

And if I looked it up correctly, the N sound in Russian is written as something close to an "H", so the signature potentially matches.
