This is part of a painting by a German painter Hopfgarten. The original was hanging in a side building in the parc of Sanssousi in Potdam until the 1920s. That building and itīs entire content burned down completely in the middle of that decade. So the original was lost in the fire, therefore unfortunately you wonīt be able to compare your picture with the original. By the time the painting burned it had understandably lost the appreciation of the public. Friedrich Wilhelm III, who had bought the painting did not have the same erudite taste as his son, the later Friedrich Wilhelm IV. In general one can say that all prussian kings did not have the finest taste in painting. There strenght was rather architecture.
