Default Arabian horse oil painting needs artists name

Picked this up several years ago for just a few dollars. I cannot read the artist's name unfortunately. I am hoping for help in that area alone. Gorgeous image of an Arabian? horse done in oil. Its almost 5X4 (just shy) on canvas stapled to the frame. Some threads are coming loose as it has never been set into a larger frame to my knowledge. The back of the wooden frame has one word. I cannot interpret that either. The image kind of reminded me of the Sue Daw portfolios I adored back in grade school which is why this caught my eye originally. This painting is by far superior in my opinion. Thanks for any and all help with this.

Can't read the first name or initial, but the last name is "Williams", is it not?

Thats where it gets hard. After the "a" in the name it could be a "m" but to me it almost looks like the name could be "Williatnia" which I know is wrong. That last letter doesn't quite look like an "s".

Yes but the artist is writing in paint on a textured surface. Sometimes letters get kind of blotchy. Personally I would stick with the plausible common name. After enlarging and playing around with the photos of the signature again, I think it might be "E Williams", but that first letter is quite indistinct.
