    • Ball Dress

I have a print by L. Campbell Taylor named "Ball Dress."
It has a P G in the lower right hand corner signifying a copywrite.
Does anyone know anything about this?
      Thanks, Steve

I inherited a LCT painting from my mother who passed. In perfect condition, in a beautiful gold frame. I would like to insure. Do you know the approx. $ value?

          • The Spinning Wheel by Leonard Campbell Taylor

I have in my possession a limited edition print of "The Spinning Wheel " by L Campbell-Taylor. It is signed by the artist, with a serial number on the back.

It originally belonged to my great grandmother and I would now like to see what the value is. Not much info online.

            Could anyone possibly assist me?

Hi Ophelia here. I have had so many enquiries into the works of my Grandfather, that sadly, for all you who are interested, or have interesting works you'd like to discuss, I have not been able to find time to do the research. Most queries I have received regard paintings and prints out of my own sphere of knowledge. I do apologize not to respond to everyone personally, as it's a shame not to be of more help. Thank you for your interest, and, if any answers come my way, I will certainly be in touch. Meanwhile, if you email me through my website, www.opheliaredpath.co.uk, I can give you the phone number of my mother (LCTs daughter), if she's happy with that arrangement. Again, she may or may not be able to help, due to the huge swell of interest, and the fact that she is nearly eighty. We are delighted that you have such beautiful works in your possession. I am very proud to be linked to him, and I hope you continue to enjoy his work and the sutble mysteries they seem to tell. It would be wonderful to see a revival of his paintings, which to me, though I may be biased, show a real master of paint and time at work.

When I get a window, I shall post another message here, for anyone who is interested in him. And if in the course of these next few years, my mother can offer little pieces of insight into him and his work, I shall be delighted to share them here.

                    • I just purchased a l Campbell Taylor print called serenity for 6$ at a thrift store. It is in seemingly great condition and it seems to be printed on wood or really hard paperboard. Is this considered a "print" or origional?

                      • An original print would normally be manually created, numbered and hand signed by the artist. I don't know what you've got but most likely it is a regular print and not an original.
