  • No luck on the Asian art forum, maybe help here?

Whilst working towards the bottom of a box, found this (what I assume is a) tiny little vase. Perhaps a sake decanter, but I really don't know. If it is a vase, then it must be a bud vase, as the neck is too long and narrow to admit more than one flower at a time. Seems likely to be fairly modern, about 6 1/2 inches tall, nicely made and decorated. Haven't been able to find anything quite like it, nor gain a deciphering of the marks on the bottom. Posted on the Asian art forum, with no replies, so thought I'd try here as well. If anyone could help, would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

The decipherment of the upside down calligraphic script:
愛知 Aichi *Name of Prefecure in Japan)
                  松村 Matsumura (Name of Maker)
Sorry, I am not a specialist on pottery and porcellain, however, I could find it out from Google(Japanese lang. version) that there was a factory
owned by Kyusuke Matsumura in Seto (near Nagoya, Aichi) in the late 19 c. early 20 c. producing cobalt painted porcellain mostly for export.
On the internet site I could see the same inscription "Aichi, Matsumura" but in different (more readable) style.
    I remain....
